Baker did not list GW-523 or GW-524 in silver but Neil Musante in
"Medallic Washington" states a silver example of each was listed
in Woodward's tenth sale of October 1864 and were described as unique.
Lot 55 in the Leighton Galleries sale, December 3, 2020, contained
one example of each in silver. Were these the pieces from the Woodward
Sale or two other silver examples?

Feb. 22 Birthday

GW-996, Baker A154, white metal, 29mm

GW-996, Type of A154 in copper, 29mm

In "Medallic Portraits of Washington" this medal is listed only in white metal, is not attributued to George H. Lovett, and the image looks like a grainy photo of a photo. There is no rarity listing but it seems they are very scarce.
I am calling it the work of George H. because of the medal pictured below. This is also unlisted and uses the obverse of Baker A154 with a George H. die.
