This medal is a muling of the Masters Carpet reverse by
George H. Lovett with a Washington die by Alexander C. Morin. The
commentary in Baker states "the only traceable specimen was purchased by
T. Harrison Garrett in W. Elliot Woodward's 69th sale". I believe this
is the piece described. It had been sold in a Heritage Auction in
September of 2006 and part of the description read "The other (referring
to a second example) is ex Bushnell, lot 1375, and has not been seen in
over a century". Another example is in a private collection and a third in the Baker Collection in
Philadelphia. A fourth example was sold by Stacks-Bowers in November of 2017.

This first reverse had 'Fredericksburgh Lodge, MD.' The Lodge was
actually in Virginia. George H. destroyed the reverse die, created a
second correct die and then struck the following medals.
